As part of our project, the Lithuanian leg of the ‘CLIMPS Local Policy Impact Forum & Youth Workshop’ was held in Mažeikiai on 6 June 2025.

The event brought together 36 participants, including 19 companies, 10 NGOs and 7 representatives from the Mažeikiai District Municipality. Parliament Member Ingrida Braziulienė delivered the opening speech, and the Deputy Mayors of Mažeikiai also attended the event, demonstrating the municipality’s commitment to climate action and youth participation.

At the Youth Workshop, young participants actively contributed to the dialogue on green entrepreneurship, climate leadership and circular economy practices. Due to the high level of interest, the number of discussion tables at the Workshop was increased.

The event gained strong local visibility through coverage in regional media and high participation by the municipality and local schools on social platforms. Based on the success and interest shown by young people in particular, a follow-up event is planned for the autumn.

The Workshop Final Declaration will be compiled by the event moderator and shared subsequently.
